Holy crap! Talk about your anal-retentive admin! I can hardly grok
this level of paranoia. Do the admins in Russia really have their
heads shoved _that_ far up their arses?

OK, this is a reason I like and it doesn't make me gag or roll around
in fits of laughter like your #1. :-)
Alright, I'm now happy for xwem-weather to optionally retrieve weather
data via proxy. But I wish to go on record that I'm _really_ unhappy
about making people install all of ancient W3 package just to be able
to retrieve a 380 byte file. I will, however, quit bitching about
it... at least until I (or somebody else) writes xwem-proxy.el. :-P
