A little more info about this...
If _any_ application (including another SXEmacs instance) has been
started in the session I _CANNOT_ restart the XWEM SXEmacs instance.
I would call this a pretty severe XWEM bug (it is definitely XWEM
because this is a relatively recent thing) and I have no idea how to
debug it.
