I normally use xwem-agent for the shear convenience of not having to
exit X to restart SXEmacs. But for a long time now it hasn't worked
for me.
If I restart SXEmacs when no other clients exist or have been started
in the session, it works fine... a new instance of SXEmacs starts up
without incident. But...
If there are existing clients (usually xterms, btw), then when I exit
SXEmacs with C-x C-c, that SXEmacs exits, a new one starts, but at
about 99% of the way through the XWEM start up process it dies...
I'm left a grey frame that is a little bigger than the normal XWEM
frame and no XWEM commands respond. The only course of action left
seems to be C-M-BS and restart X from the command line.
I _think_ this has been going on since the beginning of 2.1, maybe
earlier.
Oh, and any hints as to how the hell to debug this... greatly
appreciated. :-)
