I'm not. IMO both Gnome and KDE are a complete and utter waste of

I think you'd have to be nuts to want to try it. I mean, you're gonna
have...
X + Gnome + SXEmacs + XWEM
...and Gnome will probably use more resources than the other 3
combined. And for what benefit? IMO, nothing.
For the record, I think that being able to run Gnome "applets" (or
whatever they are called) in the xwem-tray would be way cool! But to
run XWEM on top of Gnome would be way stupid.[1]
