And that will work even if you have no changes to commit. :-)

Then just tag a 2.2 version...

  $ tla tag -S xwem--main--2.1--version-0 xwem--main--2.2 RET

And to keep things tidy, ask your legion of faithful developers to
seal their 2.1 repo's and tag a 2.2. :-)
